The Saudi Arabian Drilling Academy (SADA) is a technical and academic organization established as a result of the fruitful partnership between Saudi Aramco and Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the collaboration of the industry players funding the academy.

​

Set up as a training hub for the drilling and workover industry in the region, SADA embraces a regional, national and international training benchmark in the drilling training industry. It is a non-profit organization managed by an independent board of trustees.

SADA began as an idea put forward in mid 2014 by Saudi Aramco to train and qualify Saudi workforce in the drilling and exploration areas industry to meet an expected demand of more than 30,000 trained professionals in the industry by 2020, and in September 2016, SADA opened its doors to its first batch of trainees.
 
The Academy was officially inaugurated in 29th of September 2019 by the Deputy Prince of the Eastern Province His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman Al Saud. The academy is committed to world-class training, instilling professional skills and expertise in the participants and fostering competitiveness and development in the drilling and workover sectors of the Kingdom.
